"Sangue de Cristo" - imagem por lugi
This image of the Blood of Christ is offered as a prayer for progress in the upcoming Middle East talks. The subject will be Iran's nuclear ambitions but that is only the current high-profile item in a region seething with tensions and where memories of grievances long past and recent are too often etched in blood.
I really don't have the words for an adequate verbal prayer so I turn to the great Persian poet Rumi:
May it be.Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.
I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, even the phrase each other doesn't make any sense.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
