A MOST IMPORTANT DAY

[UPDATE: I've been informed that, in honor of the inauguration of our new president, the court hearing on the future legal status of the Santo Daime in the US will be conducted tomorrow January 21st. Thanks for your prayers.]

On this January 20th, 2009 Barack Obama has been inaugurated as 44th President and the future of the Santo Daime in the US is being determined in a Federal Court in Oregon. Both will face many future challenges.

Coincidentally, today is also the Day of the Christian martyr Saint Sebastian who, according to legend, suffered the arrows of his ememies and survived. It seems a perfect day to offer prayers for the future of both messengers of light that are being received in America.

Viva Barack Obama!

Viva Santo Daime!
